Tour Overview

 Experience the Magnificent Hill retreat of Munnar, Periyar wildlife sanctury - as known as the Birds paradise, World famous Backwaters of Kerala, Harbour and Fishing of Cochin and the mystery of Kanyakumari - The point where three sea's joints into one point and The ashram of Great Monk - Swami Vivekananda in the Sea.  

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Cochin / Trivandrum airport or Rail station and transfer to Hotel

Pickup from Cochin Airport / Rail station and transfer to the hotel.  Afternoon city sightseeing tour Cochin, Kerala’s commercial centre, it has a fine natural harbour. Cochin(Kochi) gateway for Kerala is famous for Mattanchery Palace, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolghatty Island, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cruising on the back-waters provides glimpses of the rural life, fine view of the harbour and islands.

Day 2 : Cochin - Munnar [Drive 130 km]

Drive to Munnar, check-in at the hotel. Munnar, largely blanketed by tea plantations, this little hill resort offers breath-taking scenery. Situated at an altitude of 1525 meters, this town has a local bracing climate. The atmosphere is fragrant with extensive tea and cardamom plantations. There are enchanting high ranges, lakes and streams and lovely views of low flying clouds and mist filled valleys.

Day 3 : Munnar Sightseeing tour

Today after breakfast proceed to full day sightseeing tour for Beautifull Munnar Hill Station. Spend the entire day at Munnar, visiting Pothamedu, Devikulam, Pallivasal,  Mattupetty, Echo-Point etc. Overnight stay.

Day 4 : Munnar - Kumarakom

Drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater village on the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake, the largest lake of Kerala. Morning checkout from resort and board into a House Boat. Cruise in the canal by Bamboo Poles, sail through the lagoon with favourable wind. Evening witness sunset through coconut palms, silent lakes.Overnight stay at House Boat.

Day 5 : Kumarakom –Kovalam

Today proceed to Kovalam ( 03 hours), check in at the hotel in Kovalam. Visit Trivandrum, an ancient old town and the present Capital of Kerala. This town built over seven forested hills. Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a seven storey stone structure is the most impressive landmark. This temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu contains several inscriptions and excellent murals, innumerable intricate stone carvings adorn the temple. Napier Museum of Arts and Crafts completed in 1880, it was an early experiment in what became known as the Indo Saracenic style. Evening Visit Magnificent Kovalam Beach.

Day 6 : Kovalam to Kanya Kumari

Morning drive to Kanyakumari. Check in at your hotel. In the evening watch the sun set. Overnight stay at hotel. Early morning watch the sunrise. After breakfast, visit Vivekanada Rock, Kanyakumari temple, Gandhi Memorial etc.

Day 7 : Local Visit of Kanyakumari

Today after breakfast local sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari.

Day 8 : Proceed to Trivandrum Airport / Rail station to onward journey

Check out from Kanyakumari and proceed to Trivandrum Airport / Rail station.  Tour End.
