Day 1 - Bagdogra to Phuentsholing: Crossing into the Last Himalayan Kingdom.
- Arrive at Bagdogra Airport, where our representative will receive you and assist with your luggage.
- Set off on the drive to Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s border town, taking in the gradually shifting landscapes along the way.
- Check into your hotel on arrival and take some time to rest.
- Once refreshed, step out to explore Phuentsholing’s local surroundings at your own pace.
Day 2 - Phuentsholing to Thimphu: Arriving in the Capital
- After breakfast, continue onward to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city.
- En route, stop at the Kharbandi Gompa and Milerapa Lhakhang for an early glimpse into Bhutanese spirituality.
- Travel via Gedu, one of the most scenic drives in the country, winding through majestic mountains and quiet countryside.
- Pause at the Chukha Dam and Wangkha Waterfalls for photographs.
- Arrive in Thimphu, check into your hotel, and rest for the night.
Day 3 - Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula: Into the Rice Bowl of Bhutan
- Head out to Punakha, often called the rice bowl of Bhutan, passing through Dochula and its sweeping Himalayan views.
- Visit Chimi Lhakhang, an old monastery known as the temple of fertility, and receive blessings from the resident monks.
- Continue to Punakha Dzong, the former winter capital, admiring its architecture and the striking confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers nearby.
- Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge to round off the excursion.
- Return to Thimphu for an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Thimphu to Paro: A Day of Iconic Sightseeing
- Browse Thimphu’s local handicraft shops for keepsakes reflecting Bhutanese craft and culture.
- Visit the Memorial Chorten, one of the country’s most recognizable landmarks.
- Stop at Buddha Point, home to a towering statue of Lord Buddha overlooking the valley.
- Visit the Takin Reserve Centre to see the takin, Bhutan’s national animal.
- Travel onward to Paro via Chuzom.
- Visit the Tiger’s Nest Viewpoint for your first look at the monastery you’ll trek to the next day, and then settle in for the evening.
Day 5 - Tiger’s Nest Trekking: Bhutan's Most Iconic Hike
- Set off on the trek to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched above 3,120 meters and reached through forested trails with sweeping mountain views.
- After completing the climb, rest and refuel before continuing your day.
- Visit Paro Dzong, known for its striking traditional architecture and role as a religious center.
- Round off the day at the National Museum of Bhutan, where exhibits trace the country’s history and heritage.
Day 6 - Paro to Phuentosholing: Deepening the Paro Experience
- Begin at Nya Mey Zam Bridge, a spot rich in history and great for photographs.
- Visit nearby Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery worth exploring in detail.
- Stop at the National Museum of Paro, home to an extensive collection of Bhutanese art and spiritual artifacts.
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the country.
- Transfer back to Phuentsholing for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Phuentsholing to Bagdogra: Homeward Bound
- After breakfast, our representative will transfer you back to Bagdogra Airport.
- Head home with memories of mountains, monasteries, and moments shared, the kind that stay with you long after the trip ends.
