Package Includes
This North Sikkim tour package from Tripjyada takes you from Gangtok to the snow country near the Tibet border in 7 days. It is built around three big days: Yumthang Valley, Gurudongmar Lake and Nathula Pass. You leave Gangtok for the mountain villages of Lachung and Lachen. From there you visit Yumthang Valley at 11,800 ft and the sacred Gurudongmar Lake, high above the tree line. Back in Gangtok, you drive to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass on the Indo-China border. A full day of Gangtok sightseeing rounds off the trip. The trip starts and ends at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. It includes 6 nights in 3-star hotels, dinner and breakfast daily, and one private Innova or Xylo for the whole route. Why choose this North Sikkim tour package Many trips to Sikkim skip the north because the roads are long and permits take planning. This plan handles all of that, so you only need to bring warm clothes and your ID. Nathula Pass is part of the plan, not an extra. Government rules allow only private SUVs to go there, and your Innova or Xylo already meets that rule. With this plan, you also get four nights in Gangtok. That gives you time to rest after the long mountain drives before you fly home. Best time to visit North Sikkim March to May and October to December are the most popular months. Spring fills Yumthang Valley with rhododendrons, and autumn often brings the clearest skies. From December to February, North Sikkim is very cold, and heavy snow can close the roads to Gurudongmar Lake, Tsomgo Lake or Nathula Pass for a few days. The monsoon runs from July to September. Landslides are more common then, so plans can change at short notice. In every season, pack warm layers for Lachen and the high lakes.
