Darjeeling does not need many days. It needs the right ones. Tripjyada’s 4-day Darjeeling package is built around exactly that — three nights that cover the moments people come here for, and nothing filler. Day one gets you to the hills through winding roads lined with tea gardens. Day two starts before sunrise — a 4 am drive to Tiger Hill, where Kanchenjunga catches the first light of morning in a way that no photograph ever fully prepares you for. Then Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute where Tenzing Norgay’s Everest ice axe still sits in a glass case, and the rare Himalayan wildlife of Padmaja Naidu Zoo. Day three is different entirely — a drive out to Mirik Lake, a walk along its 3.5 km promenade, cardamom plantations on either side, and then the Pashupati Market right on the Indo-Nepal border where Indian rupees buy you things that are genuinely cheaper than anywhere on this side of the Himalayas. Four days. Tiger Hill sunrise, a cup of First Flush at source, the Nepal border by evening, and enough quiet time in between to actually feel like you were here. That is what this trip is.

The most common entry point is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) — with direct flights from Kolkata (50 min), Delhi (2.5 hrs), Mumbai (3 hrs), Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. Alternatively, New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station is well connected from Kolkata (overnight train) and other major cities. From either point, it's about a 3-hour scenic drive up to Darjeeling.
Tiger Hill sunrise depends on weather conditions — clear skies give you the full Kanchenjunga view, while cloud cover can partially or fully obscure the peak. October to December and March to May offer the highest probability of clear mornings. Your Tripjyada guide will typically pick you up around 4 AM to reach the viewpoint before sunrise.
Pashupati Market is located at Sunauli on the Indo-Nepal border near Mirik, approximately 85 km from Darjeeling. Indian citizens with a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID or passport) can cross into the Nepal side for shopping. The market is popular for imported chocolates, cosmetics, woollens and handicrafts at duty-free prices.
March to May is peak spring season — rhododendrons are in bloom, weather is pleasantly cool (8°C to 18°C) and the skies are usually clear for Tiger Hill. October to December is the best post-monsoon season — crystal-clear mountain views, cool dry weather and comfortable daytime temperatures.
The UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway joyride — the famous 45-minute steam train ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom and back — can be added to this package as an optional upgrade at the time of booking. The Batasia Loop stop is included in the standard sightseeing itinerary, where you can see the toy train pass through without riding it.
This package starts from ₹7,999 per person for a group of 6 and ₹9,999 per person for a group of 2. The price includes hotel accommodation for 3 nights (deluxe, premium, luxury or elite categories available), all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the tour), private vehicle transfers, and a local guide.
Note:- Valid ID proof (Voter ID / Passport / Driving Licence). PAN Card & Aadhar Card is not acceptable. In case of a child below 18 years bring Aadhar or Birth Certificate. 4 Passport sized photographs of each person.
Bookings Made 60 to 30 Days Prior to Tour Date An advance payment of 30% of the total tour cost + 5% GST is required at the time of booking. The balance amount must be paid as per the company payment schedule communicated at the time of confirmation. Bookings Made 20 Days Prior to Tour Date An advance payment of 30% of the total tour cost + 5% GST is required at the time of booking. Upon issuance of the hotel confirmation voucher (within 3 business days), an additional 20% of the total tour cost + 5% GST must be paid. The remaining balance amount must be settled on the day of arrival.
Cancellation has to be sent to us by Mail/Fax. 30 Days from The Date of Booking: Only Communication Charges Rs.2000 Per Person. 21-30 Days Prior To Departure: 25% Of Tour Cost 11-20 Days Prior To Departure: 50% Of Tour Cost 10 Days Prior To Departure: Full Cancellation Above are the cancellation rules but we will put our best possible effort to minimise the cancellation charges.
