Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati - Transfer to Shillong

  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, where our driver will receive you.
  • Transfer to Shillong, en route visit Umiam Lake, a picturesque reservoir perfect for photography.
  • Check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Police Bazaar, the city’s bustling market.
  • Overnight Stay: Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunjee via Mawlynnong & Dawki

  • After breakfast, visit Elephant Falls before heading to Dawki River, known for its crystal-clear waters.
  • Explore Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Walk on the Bamboo Skywalk and visit the Single Decker Root Bridge.
  • Enjoy boating at Dawki River (at your own expense) and visit the Indo-Bangladesh border.
  • Proceed to Cherrapunjee for an overnight stay.
  • Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee.

Day 3: Cherrapunjee - Mawsynram Excursion

  • After breakfast, head towards Mawsynram, the wettest place on Earth.
  • Explore the stunning Mawphlang Sacred Grove, home to unique flora protected by local traditions.
  • Visit Khasi Heritage Village and return to Shillong in the evening.
  • Overnight Stay: Shillong.

Day 4: Cherrapunjee - Double Decker Root Bridge Trekking

  • Post breakfast, embark on the famous Double Decker Root Bridge trek, a UNESCO Heritage site.
  • The trek takes 5-6 hours and offers breathtaking views and insight into rural life.
  • Take a dip in the natural pools beneath the bridge.
  • (Note: The trek remains closed on Sundays.)
  • Return to Cherrapunjee for rest.
  • Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee.

Day 5: Cherrapunjee to Shillong - Sightseeing & Transfer

  • Explore Cherrapunjee’s key attractions:
  • ✔ Mawsmai Cave – A stunning limestone cave.
  • ✔ Mawkdok Valley – A breathtaking viewpoint.
  • ✔ Arwah Cave – Known for ancient fossils.

Day 6: Shillong to Jowai - Excursion & Transfer

  • After breakfast, embark on a Jowai excursion. Visit:
  • Krang Suri Falls – A stunning waterfall with turquoise waters.
  • Tryshi Falls – A scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
  • Nartiang Monoliths – An important historical site.
  • Laitlum Canyon – A panoramic viewpoint.
  • Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
  • Overnight Stay: Shillong.

Day 7: Shillong to Kaziranga - Transfer

  • Post breakfast, depart for Kaziranga National Park.
  • Attend a mesmerizing Bihu Dance performance at Orchid Park.
  • Overnight Stay: Kaziranga.

Day 8: Kaziranga to Guwahati - Safari & Transfer

  • Early morning Elephant Safari in Kaziranga (5:30 AM – 6:30 AM).
  • Return to the resort for breakfast. Enjoy a Jeep Safari through the Central or Western Range.
  • Explore local attractions such as:
    • Tea Gardens.

    • Kaziranga National Orchid Park.
    • Tribal Village Visit.
  • Later, transfer to Guwahati.
  • Overnight Stay: Guwahati.

Day 9: Guwahati Sightseeing & Departure

  • Early morning visit to Maa Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti Peethas.
  • Explore Umananda Temple, Balaji Temple, and Basistha Temple (if time permits).
  • Transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your departure.

When Is The Best Time To Travel?

The area can be visited throughout the year. One should avoid July & August, as it is the
monsoon time.

Sikkim & Darjeeling being a mountain destination, the average temperate ranges between 5° to 24° Celsius in winter & 12° to 29° Celsius in summer, barring places like Kalimpong, Siliguri, which are relatively warm as they are located at a lower altitude.It is advisable that one should be prepared with layer clothing also in summers and carry heavy woolen in winters.

Itineraries for the area can be scheduled for a minimum of 04 Nights and maximum of 14 Nights. The ideal duration is around 10 Nights (Gangtok – 03Nights, Lachung – 01Nights, Lachen – 02Nights, Pelling – 02Nights & Darjeeling – 02Nights).

Communication plays a very important role in staying connected, wherever one goes. Telecom operators like BSNL, Airtel & Vodafone have good connectivity in our area.

Sikkim & Darjeeling is completely safe when it comes to travel, especially when females are concerned. Women of the area are very active and play a major role in family’s decision making & big contributor to livelihood to the family.

As a matter of policy & honest practices we do not use private numbers plate vehicle for Sikkim & Darjeeling operation, we have our own reservation namely.
God for bid in case of any medical emergency the claim if any, will not be honored by insurance company, if one is using private number plate vehicle.

As per the law & set principal laid down by Tourism body for correct business practices. We only use Xylo / Innova / Crysta for guests and the vehicle used will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used for the group as per the itinerary only (on point-to-point basis). It will change sector wise. For quality & operation reason we don’t use sedan car, Tata Sumo, Tempo Traveler`s. As per Motor Vehicle Act capacity of a Luxury Vehicle (Scorpio / Xylo / Innova) is 06 pax including Adult or Child. Also, while opting for Luxury Vehicle please travel light with minimum baggage of one piece per person. However, for comfortable & safe traveling it is advisable to fit in maximum 04 to 05 adult in a Luxury vehicle. In case of baggage, the guest will have to opt for an extra vehicle for carrying the excess baggage. The cost for this Vehicle will be borne by guest directly.

NJP (New Jalpaiguri) Railway Station – If you are arriving at NJP Railway station, which has 03 entry & exit gate, please be informed that you will be meeting our Office Executive at the new exit gate, beside the escalator holding placard in guest you name / or as advised. IXB (Bagdogra) Airport – Please note that our Executive will hold placard just outside the only exit gate of Bagdogra Airport.
