• Ferries. Private ferries (Makruzz, Green Ocean, Nautika) take about 1.5 to 2 hours from Port Blair to Havelock and cost ₹1,200 to ₹2,500. Government ferries are cheaper but take 3 to 4 hours. December and January slots can sell out 30 to 45 days ahead, so book early. (HappyFares)

Documents Needed for Andaman

• Adults: a valid photo ID (Voter ID, passport or driving licence). PAN and Aadhaar are not accepted for adults on our packages. For Bhutan, carry a Voter ID or a passport valid for 6 months.
• Children under 18: Aadhaar or a birth certificate (an original English birth certificate for Bhutan).
• Photos: four passport-size photos per person.
• Arunachal Pradesh: an Inner Line Permit, which we arrange for package guests.
• Rates are for Indian nationals. Foreign nationals, please call us for a separate quote.

Indians need no permit for Port Blair, Havelock or Neil, per recent travel guides. Carry the ID that was used for the flight booking.
