Journey From Gangtok to Changu Lake

My journey began early morning from Gangtok. As the car ascended through winding mountain roads, Gangtok slowly faded behind me, replaced by forests dusted with fresh snow. The drive from Gangtok to Changu Lake (Tsomgo Lake) usually takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but every few minutes, I found myself asking the driver to stop, just to enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the mountains waking up to winter. The higher we climbed, the colder the air became. I checked the weather on my phone. Changu Lake temperature in December often drops below freezing.
